Team Switchpoint, a consortium involving Rowden, Vodafone, and Williams Grand Prix Technologies, has been appointed to the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Digital Advantage (DDAD) Open Framework under Lot 5 (Services).

DDAD is the MOD’s new Defence and Security Open Framework created to accelerate advanced digital ‘Decide’ capabilities, and will act as the main delivery route for the British Army’s ASGARD Transformative Capability Initiative. The Services Lot enables adoption and integration across all lots through specialist services such as training, architecture support, synthetic data, and proof-of-concept development, reducing delivery risk and improving long-term outcomes.

Team Switchpoint brings together UK-headquartered mission engineering expertise with capabilities drawn from large-scale national infrastructure and high-performance engineering environments. Led by Rowden, the consortium focuses on disciplined systems integration, pragmatic assurance, and services that help capabilities move from experimentation into operational use.

Rowden contributes experience building and sustaining resilient edge systems for Defence, including the MOD-owned Dismounted Data System, with a focus on assured deployment, open architectures, and user-centred delivery in operationally constrained environments. Vodafone brings expertise in secure connectivity, managed services, and operating resilient networks at national scale. Williams Grand Prix Technologies contributes experience in rapid iteration, synthetic data, and decision-making in time-critical contexts.

Appointment to the DDAD framework provides MOD teams with an established route to access Team Switchpoint’s capabilities as needs arise.
