Rowden delivers Dismounted Data System to British Army as part of Exercise HEDGEHOG
25.05.2025

Rowden has delivered the Dismounted Data System (DDS) to the British Army forces during NATO Exercise Hedgehog in Estonia.
Developed under Project ASGARD, where Rowden served as Mission Partner, DDS is a Ministry of Defence-owned tactical recce-strike capability that links dismounted personnel, sensors, uncrewed systems, and command nodes to strengthen situational awareness and command and control at the tactical edge.
DDS combines a digital soldier system, common control of uncrewed platforms, multi-bearer networking, distributed compute, and headquarters tooling. It operates from dismounted operators and robotic systems at the frontline through to Brigade HQ, integrating with MOD operational networks and cloud-hosted services. The system is built on open standards and a modular architecture to enable rapid integration, scalability, and ongoing iteration.
Rowden delivered 700 DDS units to 4X Brigade within four months of contract award, providing deployed forces in Estonia with a digital backbone for coordinated operations across dismounted and autonomous systems.
