Sensing and Communications is Rowden’s portfolio of deployable RF and edge sensing systems, designed for defence and national security missions.

We develop and productise field-ready hardware that can operate independently in edge environments or integrate into larger, networked systems. Our focus is to build robust devices that are simple to deploy, easy to operate, and built to scale.

Our systems are engineered for real-world conditions. They are compact, deployable, and built for walk-up use, allowing operators to access advanced RF and signal processing capability without complex setup or extensive training.

Each platform is modular by design. Antennas, compute, and power components can be configured and upgraded without full redesign, enabling rapid iteration and cost-effective scaling across fleets.

Through integration with Rowden’s Mission Systems Engineering and Edge Device Management capabilities, systems can be securely configured, updated, and managed across distributed deployments.

All systems are designed, engineered and manufactured from Rowden’s 20,000 sq ft facility in Bristol. This end-to-end UK capability enables responsive delivery and reduces reliance on export-restricted alternatives.
