The Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey, has officially opened Rowden’s new production facility in Bristol, coinciding with the launch of the UK Government’s Defence Industrial Strategy. Also present to celebrate the opening were Bristol MPs, Claire Hazelgrove and Damien Egan.

Rowden is one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology companies. The business is investing in research and development, expanding its headquarters, and creating high-value jobs across software and systems engineering, machine learning, and networking. The opening of a new building marks another step in its growth trajectory.

The state-of-the-art site expands Rowden’s headquarters to over 20,000 square ft. and is dedicated to manufacturing and assembly of advanced systems. The facility increases Rowden’s capacity to deliver large-scale government programmes while accelerating the manufacture of exportable sensing products.

Rowden has doubled its workforce in the past two years and now employs more than 120 people. In the same period, the company has invested over £2m in its Bristol facilities - a city with a world-class aerospace and engineering heritage.
