Start at Rowden. Build what matters.

A graduate programme designed for impact
The Applied Graduate Programme is Rowden’s long-term investment in developing engineering and business talent in the UK.
We believe the UK produces exceptional people, and that the fastest and most effective way to develop them is by offering early responsibility on mission-critical systems with first-hand exposure to building and scaling a fast-growing UK engineering business.
Based on the M4 corridor, within one of the UK’s leading hubs for advanced engineering and high-tech industry, Rowden's Graduate Programme is designed to offer one of the strongest early-career development routes in the UK.

Rowden’s Applied Engineering Graduate Programme is designed for engineers who want broad systems and product exposure, with real responsibility early and close engagement with users and operational constraints. You’ll work across engineering disciplines, contributing directly to deployable sensing, situational awareness, and resilience capability for defence, emergency response, and national security organisations.
You'll build technical breadth quickly through meaningful work, supported by experienced mentors, structured feedback, and clear progression. This is an applied programme for people who want to build capability that matters and develop fast.
01/01
As a graduate you feel both well-supported in your development, but also an important, valued member of the team with a real level of ownership and responsibility. The culture is excellent - everyone is friendly, excited to support you, and deeply passionate about what they do.

Business Operations Graduates
Rowden’s Applied Business Operations Graduate Programme is designed for ambitious gradautes who want early responsibility in shaping how a fast-growing engineering company operates and scales.
You’ll work on discrete initiatives such as setting up new functions, supporting product launches, exploring international markets, and helping teams turn plans into execution.
Rather than focusing on one discipline, you’ll move across the business to understand how engineering, delivery, commercial, and operations fit together. The emphasis is on understanding the organisation as a system and influence it through action.
01/01
The best thing about Rowden's Graduate Scheme is its flexibility. You can tailor the experience to suit you, whether you've got your sights set on a specific part of the business or you're keen to try a bit of everything.

Why It’s Different
We care less about polish and more about mindset. We want people who ask good questions, own their work, and don’t wait to be told what to do. People who want to learn fast, take responsibility early, and build something meaningful with a team that’s doing the same.
This isn’t a place to coast. The programme is deliberately demanding because the work is demanding. If you care about building deployable capability, supporting national resilience, and helping grow a company with real momentum, this is what you can expect:
Hands-on mentorship
from engineers, operators, and seasoned scale-up business leaders.
Responsibility from the start
your work will shape how we grow as a business and deliver for our customers.
Structured learning and fast feedback
Targeted training across technical and commercial disciplines, supported by a personal learning and development budget and regular feedback loops.
Time to connect
A culture that values teamwork and mutual support, including regular socials and our annual summer family event.
